Since 1967, YeongDong-gun has held the Nangye Traditional Music Festival every autumn to commemorate the great musician Nangye, “Park Yeon” and promote traditional music and art.
Recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, this four-day festival shows all aspects of Korean traditional music, getting a lot of attention across YeongDong.
The Experience of Korean Traditional Music Corner is enjoyed by every man and woman regardless of ages, for it gives all visitors an unprecedented chance of playing the Korean music instrument themselves under the guidance of members of the Nangye Korean Traditional Music Orchestra. During the festival, visitors can have more information on Korean music and musical instruments as well as music of countries around the world. The festival will also give visitors a valuable chance of making the Korean musical instruments themselves.

Since its inception in 2004, the biennial YeongDong Grape Festival is held in every August.
This festival is very meaningful in that it could give hope and comfort for Korean farmers who are facing difficulties caused by the WTO/FTA agreements. It can also promote the high quality grape of YeongDong across the nation and beyond.
